From the time I can remember, I've always had a passion for horses. At the age of 21, I purchased my first trail horse. Two years later I reluctantly sold him to concentrate on being a full-time mother to my little girl.
It wasn't until years later, my daughter grown, that I had the opportunity to once again own another horse. |
On April 1, 1988 I bought my first Arabian horse. By 1991 I had
20 horses and a 25,000 square foot stable, complete with indoor riding
arena and living quarters.
I
proudly watched and cheered as my horses won ribbons, trophies, and
championships at the hands of the trainers. But it wasn't until
1997 I finally decided that I just had to enter the show ring myself.

With the aid of Winsome's own professional trainer,
I entered my first show ring with my Arabian, Huckson. For two
years, he and I showed Country Pleasure AAOTR and Country Pleasure AAOTD
at Region XV and Region XVI, holding our own against well-seasoned
champions. We enjoyed our time together and learned a lot along
the way.
And finally
in 1999, with Serveja Bey, I was soon experiencing the thrill of showing
and winning at the US Nationals!

| Now,
I turn to the next chapter. In 2000, with the guidance and expertise
of Gene LaCroix, I entered the world of the "Dutch
Harness Horses". We are now breeding and selling these
amazing, strong, athletic horses. |

We,
at Winsome, recognize the immense value in cross-breeding the Dutch
Harness with the Arabian. We have the potential to produce
a new breed of horse that possesses the strength and power of the
Dutch Harness Horse and the beauty and elegance of the Arabian Horse.
Our
state-of-the-art facilities, extensive knowledge, and vast resources
enable us to bring the best of both breeds together. We pride
ourselves on diligently adhering to the high breeding standards established
by both the Renai and Arabian
Registry.
